The GARDENA Soil Moisture Sensor in a new design is particularly flat and protrudes just 20 millimeters from the ground. Although it is plugged into the lawn, a GARDENA lawnmower or robotic lawnmower can easily drive over it. With its compact size, it can be used almost anywhere in vegetable beds or in planters and measures exactly where it is important, namely at the roots. The GARDENA Soil Moisture Sensor is connected to one of the GARDENA Irrigation Controls via a cable, from then on the soil moisture is taken into account during automatic watering. If there is still enough water in the ground, irrigation is simply suspended. This is particularly efficient and economical. The display of the measured soil moisture and the setting from which moisture content in the soil should not be irrigated can be easily done on the respective irrigation controller to which the new soil moisture sensor is connected. The sensor is compatible with most GARDENA irrigation controls.
