Topped off with the professional SecuFirm2™ multi-socket mounting system for Intel and AMD, Noctua’s renowned NT-H1 thermal compound and 6 years manufacturer’s warranty, the NH-L9x65 fuses everything users have come to expect from Noctua’s larger coolers into a compact premium package for space restricted systems.<br><br><b>65mm low profile</b><br>Due to its compact heatsink and the 14mm thin NF-A9x14 low profile fan, the NH-L9x65 stands only 65mm tall (the same height as low-profile expansion cards), which makes it ideal for use in compact HTPCs or Small Form Factor cases that offer limited clearance for CPU coolers.<br><br><b>100% RAM compatibility on Intel platforms</b><br>The NH-L9x65 has a 95x95mm footprint that complies exactly to the Intel LGA17xx/1200 socket keep-out zone. This means that it won't cause issues with chipset coolers and doesn't overhang the RAM slots, making it fully compatible with tall memory modules.<br><br><b>100% compatibility with PCIe cards on ITX</b><br>Many Intel LGA17xx/1200 based mini-ITX mainboards have the PCIe slot sitting close to the 95x95mm socket zone. While larger coolers that exceed this zone may block the PCIe slot, the 95x95xmm sized NH-L9x65 provides full compatibility with PCIe cards.<br><br><b>Easy access to near-socket connectors</b><br>Many low-profile coolers use larger fans or heatsinks in order to achieve sufficient cooling performance, but protruding over the socket zone, they make it difficult or even impossible to reach near-socket connectors on tightly packed ITX mainboards. Supporting PWM for fully automatic speed control, the NF-A9x14 allows the NH-L9x65 to stay remarkably quiet.<br><br><b>Low-Noise Adaptor</b><br>Allowing the maximum speed of the NF-A9x14 PWM fan to be reduced from 2500 to 1800rpm, the included Low-Noise Adaptor (LNA) makes it possible to achieve near-silent setups with suitable CPUs that only create smaller heat loads.<br><br><b>SecuFirm2™ mounting system</b><br>Noctua's SecuFirm2™ mounting systems have become synonymous with quality, safety and easy installation. This improved contact exactly at the processor’s hotspot can significantly reduce CPU temperatures with typical improvements in the range of 1-3°C.<br><br><b>Compatibility with past and future sockets</b><br>Complying with the open SecuFirm™ standard, the NH-L9x65 can be made compatible with the older LGA1366 and LGA775 sockets using the optional NM-I3 mounting kit, which is provided by Noctua free of charge.
