The EK-Quantum Vector FTW3 RTX 3080/3090 Active Backplate D-RGB — Acrylic is a state-of-the-art addition to the EK Quantum Line. It is intended as a complement to the existing EK-Quantum Vector FTW3 RTX 3080/3090 water blocks and actively cools the back of all EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 and 3090 FTW3 GPUs. The EK-Quantum Vector FTW3 RTX 3080/3090 Active Backplate comes with a connector that replaces the standard connector that comes with the Vector water block, connecting the water block and Vector Active Backplate into one unit. This way, the entire housing only needs one inlet and one outlet, eliminating unnecessary additional hoses and reducing clutter. It's the ultimate aesthetic and performance solution, with the GPU sandwiched between two water blocks for maximum cooling. The Vector Active Backplate directly cools the PCB hotspots located on the back of the GPU core and the VRM (Voltage Regulation Module). The RX 3090 gets cooling for the VRAM on the back, while the RTX 3080 gets cooling for the PCB that sits around the front-mounted VRAM. The coolant is directed over all of these critical areas. These active backplates feature a fin array with 8 wide channels that allow for very little flow restriction. This in turn allows for lower overall temperatures while giving the active backplate more than enough surface area for heat transfer.

Additional Information: The base of the active backplate is CNC machined from nickel plated electrolytic copper while the top is CNC machined from glass-like cast acrylic. The rest of the rear panel is made of nickel-plated aluminum and does not come into contact with the liquid. These Vector Active Backplates also feature acrylic clamps that mate with the top cover. The watertight seal is provided by high quality EPDM O-rings.
Note: The aesthetic end piece houses the addressable D-RGB LED strip. This water block has a total of 8 individually addressable RGB LEDs and is compatible with the common RGB synchronization technologies of all major motherboard manufacturers. The arrow mark on the 3-pin D-RGB LED connector should be aligned with the +5V mark on the D-RGB header (addressable).
